All Eastern Connecticut Ballet dancers have the opportunity to perform in our Annual Spring Showcase. The performance challenges dancers to perform at their highest level, drawing upon lessons learned, skills acquired, and repertory memorized.

TAP New York Craft Brew Festival Details
Started in 1998 and attended by more than 100,000 beer lovers, Tap New York is one of the largest and longest running craft brew festivals in the country. 
Taking place over two days, attendees can purchase tickets for either/both days that include continuous 4 oz. samples of craft alcoholic beverages, plus continuous food samples including CORN DOGS!! Additional food/dessert vendors and live music will also be present, along with games and various vendors. Attendees are encouraged to stay in overnight lodging and campsites at the resort with Stay & Play Packages.

The Spring Choral Concert, under the direction of David Macbeth, Erica Dickson and Talia Sheehan, will feature performances by 9/10 Choir, 11/12 Choir, Treble Choir, and Touring Choir. The choir will perform pieces in diverse genres and styles including works by Kirk Franklin, Jocelyn Hagen, Michael Bussewitz-Quarm, Jake Runestad, Jacob Collier and Freedom Trilogy by Paul Halley. The Touring Choir will be performing excerpts from John Rutter's Requiem, in anticipation of their performance of the piece at Carnegie Hall in May with John Rutter himself. The concert will conclude with a full choral ensemble finale of over 100 singers performing A World Beloved, a bluegrass mass by Phillip Brunelle accompanied by Mr. Bucci as well as several instrumental music students.

Dance Quilt 2025 is a celebration of the dedication, creativity, and artistry of Charter Arts dance majors.
The concert will feature outstanding choreography from Charter Arts' esteemed dance faculty, as well as two dynamic guest artists in jazz—Janelle Finocchio presenting a vibrant Broadway-style piece, and Daniel Padiera introducing the department's very first commercial jazz work to the Dance Quilt stage.
According to Artistic Director of Dance, Jennifer  Dite-Weaver, "This concert is thoughtfully woven to showcase the remarkable talent of every student in our program, highlighting their growth and passion through a diverse collection of works. The dances are the culmination of the students’ commitment in their year-long Rehearsal & Performance class. This year’s program includes ballet, pointe, modern in various styles, jazz, and even a touch of tap—demonstrating the range and versatility of our dancers."

Unleash your creativity and curiosity in our Introductory Taxidermy Class hosted by The Sleeping Sirens! Designed for beginners, this hands-on course offers a fascinating glimpse into the art and science of taxidermy. 
What to Expect:
Class begins promptly at 10am and ends at 4pm. 
We provide each student with either a skinned, cleaned, and tanned racoon or rabbit hide depending on the workshop you are taking. 
The first half of class is focused on preparing your form, setting the eyes, test fitting and mounting the hide, as well as grooming. 
After our first 30-minute break class shifts towards base preparation and mounting your project. 
The class runs for approximately 6 hours with two 30-minute breaks throughout the day.

Join us as we guide you through the techniques of preparing and pinning insects, transforming them into beautiful, display-ready specimens.

This workshop has both AM and PM availability, so it is of the utmost importance that you verify the correct date and time of your specific class.

It’s Alive! From the creators of Broadway‘s record-breaking musical comedy sensation, The Producers, comes Young Frankenstein, a monster of a hit musical based on Mel Brooks’ classic comedy film masterpiece. This wickedly inspired re-imagining of the legend of Frankenstein is the story of the bright young doctor Frankenstein (that's Fronkensteen) who travels to Transylvania to complete the masterwork of his grandfather by bringing a corpse to life. Young Frankenstein is a scientifically proven, monstrously good time at the theatre.

Dubbed “the last leading man” by The New York Times, two-time Tony Award winner Brian Stokes Mitchell has enjoyed a career that spans Broadway, television, film, and concert appearances with the country’s finest conductors and orchestras.
He received Tony, Drama Desk, and Outer Critics Circle awards for his star turn in Kiss Me, Kate. He also gave Tony-nominated performances in Man of La Mancha, August Wilson’s King Hedley II, and Ragtime. Other notable Broadway shows include Kiss of the Spider Woman, Jelly’s Last Jam, Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown and Shuffle Along. In 2016 he was awarded his second Tony Award, the prestigious Isabelle Stevenson Tony for his Charitable work with The Actors Fund.
That same year Stokes was inducted into the Theatre Hall of Fame.

Man of La Mancha is one of the world’s most popular musicals. Inspired by Miguel de Cervantes’ 17th-century masterwork Don Quixote and set during the Spanish Inquisition, the original 1965 production won five Tony Awards, including Best Musical. Cervantes is in prison awaiting trial during the Spanish Inquisition. He and his fellow prisoners perform a play-within-a-play, telling the story of the elderly Alonso Quijana, who renames himself “Don Quixote” and goes on a quest to right all wrongs in the world. The rousing, Spanish-inflected score includes the classic numbers “The Impossible Dream,” “I, Don Quixote,” “Dulcinea,” “I Really Like Him” and “Little Bird.”
